So that's why the melons at Whole Foods cost so much....

I can't think of any way to comment on this article without sounding heartless. So I won't. (Except to say "Please, someone, tell me this is a joke..." and "Aren't there better pursuits for scientists questing for breakthrough inventions???") Okay, I guess I commented. (Note to self: work on restraint and political correctness).

Moving right along...I need your help. I recently discovered the joys of iTunes, but am overwhelmed with all my choices. So here is what I need from you, my friends (besides patience with my inability to recognize the innate humanity of crustaceans) - song recommendations! What are your favorite songs in the following categories:

1. Inspiration: Music to keep you going on the treadmill/elliptical machine

2. Relaxation: Hanging out on couch thinking about how much better than feels than being on the treadmill/elliptical machine

3. Destination: Road trip/long flight music

My ipod thanks you :)

The heaviest rotation on my Creative Zen (iPod, please!) is Big Daddy Weave's 'Every Time I Breathe' CD. My favorite song is 'Let It Rise'. I could probably speed walk up Everest to that song. Another song that has a great walking beat is an oldie but a goodie by Lone Justice - 'Shelter', from the album/CD of the same name. The Newsboys' song 'Devotion' has an incredible pace for my walks, too.

Relaxation, anything by Eva Cassidy does it for me. Honestly, I need to just go through my Zen and give you song titles. I'll have to email you with my suggestions because you don't have enough room here.

Have fun with your iPod.

Ohhh ... my ... gosh. I have like a zillion playlists on iTunes. I have no idea where to start. I might have to get back to you on that one when I have time to go through everything. But, ohhh, will you have fun!

Not being sure what you are into, so don't sue me if these aren't your type! but...

My FAVOURITE road trip-type song is Rusty Cage by Johnny Cash. It's perfect for that. Inner Smile by Texas is also great for that, and Clocks by Coldplay. Because I obviously need to include a U2 song, Original of the Species or In God's Country. Aaaand... Gone Daddy Gone, by Gnarls Barkley.

Relaxation... Through the Dark by KT Tunstall, Turn Me On by Norah Jones, Songbird by Eva Cassidy... off the top of my head!
