Dryer update

Turns out my new hair dryer - the Revlon 1875 with TOURMALINE IONIC POWER - rocks! I got three compliments last night at class, all from people who see my hair often enough to not bother commenting unless something is really different.

I still don't get it - the ions, the use of semi-precious stones. One helpful article told me: "Tourmaline is a stone. It helps hair dry faster." Um, okay. Sure.

But I've never been one to question the scientific breakthroughs that make us beautiful (except for that whole "put mayonnaise in your hair to make it shiny" idea that circulated in my early teen years). If you're looking for a dryer, remember this unlikely equation:

Ions + gemstones = compliments.

That seals it! This week's Target list: Propel, Rafe for Target hobo bag (brown), and tourmaline ionic dryer! :)

Oh, those clever hair dryer designers. My dryer has the ionic thing going, but lacks gemstones. I may need an upgrade.

Hmmm...I just air dry. I wonder if I open my jewelry box and rub my head in there, will that help?

Pix, Trish. I need pix.

I have an ionic hair dryer, but I don't feel it does much for my hair. I must be missing the tourmaline aspect :(

Damn you straight haired woman! I have blogged and written about my snakey hair. And you, all shiny and smooth! You can see my hair on Huffington Post's Fearless Voices section. They ran a (mercifully) small photo with my piece today.

Don't even TELL me you can feather that darn hair of yours. The envy, the envy....

I read about these last year and have wondered ever since. Does is really dry your hair faster?

I'll need it for my kids, who give me sixty seconds, and that's it.

I missed this conversation. How much did this thing cost?

I sat on the train to NYC yesterday and struckup a conversation with a curly hair girl who had my exact ringlet-y long hair. She said "I just discovered this new blow dryer!" That's it, I'm getting one!

I bought this dryer and used it for the first time yesterday. I can't believe the difference in the way my hair turned out! It was much less dry and flat than after the usual blow dry. I'm amazed by this thing and I love it!
