THAT DOG doesn't like it when I travel. When the suitcases come out, her little brow furrows right up and she paces around after me like an anxious grandmother. Last night she made her displeasure known in a whole new way: THAT DOG, who has been housebroken for 11 1/2 years, peed...a gallon...ON my travel itinerary...which was lying in the middle of our bed...
24 hours later, Steve is still doing laundry.

They sure do know how to drive their point home, don't they? My old roommate from ages ago didn't change the litter box frequently enough for her cat. He would go into her bedroom & pee on her feather to express his displeasure. I still can't wrap my mind around how she possibly didn't learn her lesson after the first time...
Oh NO!!! You know our first cat hated when we would have company and would pee on their bed...every time!!!
You poor guys!!
that is uhhh regretable :/
ever since ellie had the flaky dog walker who would come at like...4pm...she's taken to pissing on the couch. we haven't caught her so we can't train her not to. it's the most frustrating thing in the world to come home and smell all the blankets on the couch smell like dog pee. thankfully her dog walker is amazing and has her on a great schedule :)
GAH! No! I had a cat do that to my husband once, after he traveled. All over the clothes and bed ... I feel for you.
Dang...That REALLY sucks! I would be so angry at him! And I have stories similar to em's. I had a cat, and it would pee on my clean clothes in the laundry basket if we did something unusual.
It's amazing how intuitive dogs are. My dog give me these sad, weepy eyes any time I take a shower. Because she knows it normally means, I'm running out the door.
Hee. Dogs really don't like to have their routine interrupted, do they?
Ah, had she been paper-trained?!
Amazing how even though they can't talk, they speak volumes. Good luck with the laundry.
i guess she had something to say...eeho.
aw, that JUST happened to me this morning. Sampson actually crawled INTO my suitcase, and it broke my heart.
haven't seen you around in awhile! when does your book come out?
Next time you pack, shut the bedroom door, so THAT DOG can not see what you are doing. What they don't know won't hurt them.
If you can find it in your area, I suggest using ODO-BAN. It neutralizes pet smells. My cat peed on my bed (why I still don't know) and ODO-BAN was the only thing that got the smell out.
They know, they sure do!!
Usually, just when you have no time to take care of those little surprises. I just had a week off from school...can't wait to see what my fur-kids do tomorrow morning.
With sympathy, Donna

ha! smart little puppy!
ps. started reading you book this weekend!!! : )
Oh no...
MY DOG (a Newfoundland) chewed a hole in the corner of my suitcase last week before I left for Cleveland to do an author reading!
I coulda choked him (momentarily) but then felt sick for upsetting his schedule (can you believe the DOG guilt trips me as easily as my children??!!)
OH too funny. Baby Kitty used to walk into my suitcase and just lay there until I had to forcibly remove here. She never peed, but did leave about a pound of cat hair on every thing. :-)
Oh no!!! Let's just be glad that THAT HUSBAND does not show his displeasure in such a... damp... way.
