Seriously?

I ordered 20 copies of my book from Amazon yesterday, for an event I'll be speaking at next week. As promised, they shipped them immediately...

One by one.

How is this possible?

That's why I'm known as "book girl" whenever I go to the post office. Sadly, it's not said affectionately.

I'm picturing twenty different people at the same warehouse all pulling individual copies of the book from the same bin at the same time, then going to their individual cubicles and slapping identical labels on 'em. They probably had no idea of the depth of irony in which they were engaged...

well aside from the regrettable environmental issues with that....

...it's gotta be pretty awesome to come home to 20 Amazon boxes...even though you already know what's going to be in them :)

I love Amazon! How screwy!

Imagine unwrapping 20 individual parcels, though! It'll feel like Christmas!

Maybe the not-at-all-helpful guy's brother works at Amazon?
