Thanks, but no

Has anyone else seen the new body lotion commercial with the tag line, "Shouldn't YOUR skin be soft like yogurt?" Or did I fall asleep on the couch and dream it?

I hope it's the latter. Because really, it's hard for me to imagine what kind of exhausted minds would base a marketing campaign for skin care around a dairy product produced by bacterial fermentation? Not to mention that, when I dream of what my skin will feel like at it's optimal best, goopy and runny are not the words that come to mind...

Is it just me?

(Thanks to the fine folks at Wikipedia for helping me get my yogurt facts straight, and providing the lovely picture.)

Ha I was actually going to blog about this when I first saw the commercial, especially the term yogurty.

WHAT?! I guess tivo has saved me from yet another really bad ad campaign!!! Whenever we see a really bad commercial, Gavin and I go into the mode of acting out the ad agency presentation of the particularly bad idea, in some stuffy board room. "picture it: a women in her bathroom, only a towel covers her firm body, she caresses her arm and immediately begins to crave ...yogurt!!!"

I have to agree with you...I don't want my skin to feel like yogurt. Makes you wonder who they tested this ad on to keep the idea.

makes me laugh every single time.

Ew, soft like yogurt. That sounds like it wouldn't smell all that good....

Blech! I like yogurt, but I don't want to feel like yogurt. That is just plain weird.

Yogurt? Since when was I supposed to want my skin to be like curdled dairy?
