Problem, meet solution

If you've been reading for awhile, you know we have an extra resident who likes to hang out on our deck. He's a bit of a party-boy, and has a way with the ladies.

I'm going to leave this article out there this afternoon, just to make sure he knows how good he's got it. (Still, he should be careful-I've got English blood somewhere in my family tree...)

Would you eat squirrel?

You might have meant this as a humorous or maybe as a rhetorical question, but sadly I have eaten squirrel and probably would again. I had some once when I was eight or nine and if I remember correctly it was quite tasty. Don't ask, my grandfather was from the old school and he hunted. Anything that crossed his path was fair game, so I have also had deer, turtle, and rabbit but drew the line at snake.

I've also tried squirrel before and liked it. My dad has always hunted, and we always had to at least try what he killed. Deer meat is probably my favorite, but squirrel is pretty good.

Can't say I would, but I grew up in a family that liked squirrels. They were our little outdoor pets.

So don't ever invite my mom over to your house. She'll totally feed the little critter.
